Hi there!

 

Welcome to Barah Ministries…a Christian Church based in Mesa, AZ…my name is Pastor Rory Clark.  A special greeting to our international audience…people who are listening to us in the four corners of the globe…grace to you and peace from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

 

There are many ways to learn about God, and one of those ways is through songs, which do a great job of communicating the truth of the Word of God.  Here at Barah Ministries, we are blessed to have one of the best songwriters, best singers, and best music producers, all wrapped up in a single package.  Her name is June Murphy, and her songs are amazing at communicating truth.

TODAY’S SONG

Father I’m Yours

 

When you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation, by placing your faith in Him, you become a personal possession of the Sovereign God of the Universe.  First Peter, Chapter 2, Verse 9 says…

 

FIRST PETER 2:9

But you believers in Christ are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, A PEOPLE FOR GOD’S OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of the kingdom of darkness into His marvelous light…

Because you are a believer in Christ, the Lord takes everything personally when it comes to you.  Matthew, Chapter 18, Verses 1 to 6 say…

 

MATTHEW 18:1

…the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

 

The disciples were always jockeying for power.

 

MATTHEW 18:2

And the Lord called a child to Himself and set the child before them…

 

MATTHEW 18:3

…and Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.”

 

To be converted means to have a change in your thinking.  Having a childlike spirit really means not overthinking reality…instead placing your faith in the object of your faith after hearing a message that makes sense…like the gospel message…the good news about what the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished for all mankind at the Cross.  Children have no problem with such a simple message.

 

MATTHEW 18:4

Whoever then humbles himself as this child humbles himself, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

 

MATTHEW 18:5

And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me…

 

MATTHEW 18:6

…but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for that person to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

 

The Lord Jesus Christ deals with those who hurt his believers!

Thanks June, for reminding us just how much God loves us.

 

Psalm 95, Verse 1 says…

 

PSALM 95:1

O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord…

Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

 

We dedicate the closing moments of our lesson today to anyone watching or to anyone listening who no longer wants to live under the slavery and the rulership of God’s enemy, Satan…to anyone who does not have a relationship with the One and Only God…the God who loves you unconditionally…the faithful One…the one who forgive all of your sins…the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Acts, Chapter 2, Verse 21 says…

 

ACTS 2:21

‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

 

Right now, you can call on the name of the Lord by telling God the Father that you believe in His Son, and that’s the moment of eternal life for you.  Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ is the best and most important decision you can make in your lifetime.  A simple five-word request gets you to heaven…“Father, I believe in Christ.”  For a thief being crucified next to Jesus, it was a nine word request…Luke, Chapter 23, Verses 42 and 43…

 

LUKE 23:42-43

And the repentant thief was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”//And Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”

 

Let today be the day you stop putting off the best decision of your life. You won’t ever regret believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and counting on Him to accomplish your salvation.  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ…and you will be saved!  Then, get to know Him!  Grow, within the sphere of His grace, in the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  In John, Chapter 3, Verse 36, the Lord Himself says…

 

JOHN 3:36

“He who believes in the Son has eternal life (the resurrection life) right at that moment…but he who does not obey the command to believe in the Son will not see the resurrection life, but the wrath of God (the Lake of Fire) abides on him.”

 

Come on out of slavery and into the freedom of the resurrection life.
