Welcome To BARAH MINISTRIES

a Christian Church

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;//we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;//persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed…

…always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.//For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.//So death works in us, but life in you.

TODAY’S STUDY
Romans Chapter 1- Faith is Perfect When We are Imperfect

Romans, Chapter 1,
Verses 8 to 15
Paul’s Prayer for the Purpose of his Ministry

First, I (Paul) thank my God (the Father in prayer) through Jesus Christ(’s name) for you all (believers in Rome), because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world (all over the Roman Empire).

For God (the Father), whom I (Paul) serve in my (human) spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), is my witness as to how unceasingly I make mention of you (believers in Rome…in intercessory prayer)…

…always in my prayers making request (even in petition for myself as well), if perhaps now at last by the will of God I may succeed in coming to (visit) you.

For I (Paul) long to see you (believers in Rome) so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established…

…that is, that I (Paul) may be encouraged together with you while among you, (as) each of us (is encouraged) by the other’s faith, both yours (encouraging me) and mine (encouraging you).

I do not want you to be unaware, brethren (believers in Rome), that often I have planned to come to you (and have been prevented so far…even though I wanted to come) so that I may obtain some fruit among you also, even as (I obtain fruit) among the rest of the Gentiles.

I (Paul) am under obligation both to Greeks (people who speak Greek) and to barbarians (people who don’t speak Greek), both to the wise (believers in Christ) and to the foolish (unbelievers).

So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel (as a minster) to you also who are in Rome.

For as he thinks within himself, so he is.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is (that He exists) and (must believe) that He is a rewarder of those who (diligently) seek Him.

For I (Paul) want you to know how great a struggle I have on your behalf and for those who are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not personally seen my face…

…that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in (unconditional) love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, (the knowledge of) Christ Himself,//in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

I say this so that no one will delude you with persuasive argument.

“For through the (Mosaic) Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God.//I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

BREAK
When I Think About Home

For the (Mosaic) Law, since it has only a shadow of the good
things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect (remove the guilt and condemnation from) those who draw near (to worship).

Otherwise, (if they could make you perfect) would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?

But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year.//For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.//Therefore, when He (the Lord Jesus Christ) comes into the world, He says, “SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU (My Father) HAVE NOT DESIRED, BUT A BODY YOU (My Father) HAVE PREPARED FOR ME…”

“IN WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrifices FOR SIN YOU HAVE TAKEN NO PLEASURE.//THEN I SAID, ‘BEHOLD, I HAVE COME (IN THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME) TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD (My Father).’”

After saying above, “SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrifices FOR SIN YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, NOR HAVE YOU TAKEN PLEASURE in them” (which are offered according to the [Mosaic] Law)…

…then He (the Lord Jesus Christ) said, “BEHOLD, I (the Lord Jesus Christ) HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL (My Father).” He (God the Father) takes away the first (the Mosaic Law sacrifice) in order to establish the second (the sacrifice of Christ at the Cross).//By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Every (Levitical) priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;//but He (the Lord Jesus Christ), having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD (the Father)…

…waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET.//For by one offering He (the Lord Jesus Christ) has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

“I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart.”

Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,//yet He (the Lord Jesus Christ) has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him (God the Father) holy and blameless and beyond reproach…

…if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,//to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

CLOSING SONG
Faith, Hope, Love

“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
