HUMILITY
I must choose to humble myself under Your mighty hand, oh God
So that pride and arrogance in my life won’t perpetually be a part of
I must be reminded not to think too highly of self
And I must be sober and diligent to put Christ and others before myself
Your Word, oh God, must set the standard, standard for my life
Your Word makes me think differently, it cuts just like a knife
I want my thoughts to line up with Your Word, oh God, to show
That I am trusting in your wisdom
Cause in your grace and knowledge I choose to grow
So I must humble myself before You, surrender absolutely to You
Submitting to Your will, obeying, being still
Giving You the honor that’s due You, and living my life just to please You
Not seeking the praise of men, or bowing down to evil and sin
So that I may learn to serve You in true humility
So that I can become all it is You want me to be
The life in Christ I’m leading now I know is not my own
I am choosing to live it your way, standing in the Truth that You’ve made known
For I can take no glory in and of myself
For all the glory, praise, and honor belong to You alone and to no one else
So I must humble myself before You, surrender absolutely to You
Submitting to Your will, obeying, being still
Giving You the honor that’s due You, and living my life just to please You
I’m not seeking the praise of men, nor am I bowing down to evil and sin
So that I may learn to serve You in true humility
So that I can become all it is You want me to be
So that I may learn to serve You in humility
So that I can become all it is You want me to be
