Welcome To

BARAH MINISTRIES

a Christian Church

Rory Clark

Pastor-Teacher

Good Morning!

Welcome to Barah Ministries…an intimate, local Christian Church with worldwide impact.  My name is Pastor Rory Clark.  Welcome to this Bible lesson!  With all the things going on in the world, as the world changes right before your eyes, you may be inclined to think you are powerless.  The Lord Jesus Christ doesn’t think so.  Here’s what He says in John, Chapter 10, Verses 9 to 15…

JOHN 10:9

“I (the Lord Jesus Christ) am the door…if (3) anyone enters through Me (maybe you will…maybe you won’t…you have a choice) he will be saved…and he will come in and he will go out and he will find pasture (his daily needs will be met by God).”

JOHN 10:10

“The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy…I (the Lord Jesus Christ) came so that believers in Christ would have the resurrection life…and have it abundantly.”

JOHN 10:11

“I (the Lord Jesus Christ) am the good shepherd…the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

JOHN 10:12

“He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd…he who is not the owner of the sheep…sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees…and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters the flock.”

JOHN 10:13

“He flees because he is a hired hand and he does not care about the sheep.”

JOHN 10:14

“I (the Lord Jesus Christ) am the Good Shepherd…and I know My own (believers in Christ…His sheep)…and My own know Me…”

JOHN 10:15

“…just as God the Father knows Me and I know God the Father…and I (the Lord Jesus Christ) lay down My life for the sheep.”

You are not powerless.  You are powerful beyond measure because the Lord Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, cares about you…you are one of His sheep…and He won’t let anyone or anything hurt you.  Therefore, we are not overtaken by fear…Romans, Chapter 8, Verse 15…

ROMANS 8:15

For you believers in Christ HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SPIRIT OF SLAVERY LEADING TO FEAR AGAIN…but you have received a spirit of ADOPTION AS ADULT SONS by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”

We are not slaves…we are not afraid…we are sons…and we are powerful.

At Barah Ministries we know this truth…that Jesus Christ is God.  As the Lord He is 100% Deity…He is God the Son, a member of the Triune Godhead.  He is also 100% human just like you and me, and His name is Jesus Christ.  The Lord…God the Son…became flesh…Jesus Christ...and lived among us.  He is the uniquely born One…100% God and 100% man in one Person forever.  He is the Sovereign God of the Universe.  He is the Jewish Messiah.

At Barah Ministries, we make a difference by teaching the Word of God

from God's perspective and not from man's perspective.  As those who make Barah Ministries our spiritual home, we are Christians.  Being a Christian means we believe in the DEITY of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we have a deep, intimate, and personal relationship with Him.

God has an enemy, Satan, whom God made “the ruler of this world.”  He is a liar who deceives the whole world, including you and me.  He doesn’t want us to get to know God, and he interferes with our chance to know God.  In John, Chapter 12, Verse 31, the Lord says…

JOHN 12:31

“Now judgment is upon this world…now the ruler of this world (Satan) will be cast out (he will be dethroned at a future time).”

Satan’s strategy against the human race is religion, which is designed to make us either indifferent or antagonistic to God.  Matthew, Chapter 23, Verse 15 says…

MATTHEW 23:15

“Woe to you scribes and Pharisees…you hypocrites!  You travel around on sea and land to make one convert to your religion and when he becomes converted, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are!”

Religion deceives many into thinking they are saved when they might not be…and it works really well!  Billions of people are deceived.

The Word of God is the truth…and it informs us about Satan’s insidious

deceptions.  As believers in Christ, we are in union with Christ, and we have

the victory over Satan through our Lord, who has overcome the world.

TODAY’S BIBLE LESSON

God the Holy Spirit Gives Us Spiritual Eyes

LESSON INTRODUCTION

If you look at the world with human eyes, you should be scared about what is going on right now.  If you look at the world with spiritual eyes, you can’t be scared.  Without question, the most disrespected member of the Triune Godhead is God the Holy Spirit.  He is the one who gives us believers in Christ spiritual eyes for discernment.  Yet he is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Godhead.  He, “Don’t get no respect…I’ll tell ya!”  Yet in at least ninety places in the Bible, it is made clear that God the Holy Spirit is God…He has the exact same essence as God the Father and God the Son.  Matthew, Chapter 12, Verse 32…

MATTHEW 12:32

Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man (Jesus Christ)…it shall be forgiven him…but whoever speaks against God the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him…either in this age or in the age to come.

Blasphemy against God the Holy Spirit in this age is the rejection of His convicting ministry, presenting the accurate gospel message concerning Jesus Christ.  The sin of unbelief will meet with God the Father's wrath… and there is no way to blame our own rejection of the free gift of salvation on God.  It is not God's will that any should perish.  Yet those who do reject God the Holy Spirit's convicting ministry always find a way to blame God for what they choose.

As we begin our study of the next passage of First Corinthians in Chapter 12, God the Holy Spirit is in view.  He is the one who makes believers in Christ spiritual.  His enabling power is at the center of the Christian Way of Living.  So when you think you are spiritual, just know your spirituality doesn’t come from you…it comes from the One who gives us spiritual eyes…God the Holy Spirit.

SONG INTRODUCTION

Let’s hear some music!  If we’re being truthful, adults are big phonies.  We excel at pretending.   For those of us who are believers in Christ, we don’t have to pretend…Ephesians, Chapter 6, Verses 10 and 11 say…

EPHESIANS 6:10

Finally, believers in Christ, be strong in union with the Lord and in the strength of His might (a power that overcomes resistance from the kingdom of darkness).

EPHESIANS 6:11

Pick up and put on the full armor of God…so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

There’s no need to pretend when God is on your side, although the group Unspoken says pretending is our HUMAN CONDITION.  Let’s listen.

OPENING PRAYER

Let us pray...

We’re grateful, Heavenly Father, for the privilege of studying Your absolute truth...the Word of God…

Father, we give thanks for You every moment of our lives, and not just at the time when the world designates that You should be thanked…thank you for giving us a power source at the center of our Christian lives…God the Holy Spirit.  Help us to love Him and to respect Him and to use the presence of His enabling power in our lives to see evil when it present, and to run away from it…standing firm in the full armor of God…instead, worshipping You…

…we ask this through the power of God the Holy Spirit…in Christ’s

name...Amen.

TODAY’S BIBLE LESSON

God the Holy Spirit Gives Us Spiritual Eyes

What does it mean to be spiritual?  All believers in Christ are spiritual!  Why?  Because we are powered by God the Holy Spirit who makes us spiritual.  The Lord Jesus Christ takes care of a believer’s salvation.  Because of His work at the Cross, we go from being an unbeliever to being a believer.  Once our SALVATION is accomplished, we are handed off to God the Holy Spirit.  His job is our SANCTIFICATION.  He takes us from being immature believers to being mature believers by renovating our minds with the Word of God.  God the Holy Spirit gives us spiritual eyes with the Word of God so we can see life from the divine viewpoint rather than from the human viewpoint.

Let’s continue our study.  First Corinthians, Chapters 12, 13, and 14 address

another problem plaguing the first-century Corinthian church…here are the first two sections of Chapter 12, beginning at Verse 1…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:1

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I (Paul) do not want you to be unaware.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:2

You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:3

Therefore, I (Paul) make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed” … and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:4

Now there are varieties of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:5

And there are varieties of ministries and the same Lord (Jesus Christ).

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:6

There are varieties of effects, but the same God the Father who works all things in all persons.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:7

But to each one is given the manifestation of God the Holy Spirit for the common good.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:8

For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit…and to another

the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:9

…to another is given faith by the same Spirit…and to another is given the gift of healing by the one Spirit…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:10

…and to another is given the effecting of miracles…and to another prophecy…and to another is given the distinguishing of spirits…and to another is given various kinds of tongues…and to another the interpretation of tongues.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:11

But one and the same Spirit works all these things…distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

One of the ways God the Holy Spirit is disrespected by humans is that speaking in tongues is attributed to Him.  Spiritual counterfeiters allege that the Spirit is powering them to speak in tongues.  Because they speak in tongues, spiritual counterfeiters insinuate that they are better than believers in Christ who don’t have this spiritual gift.  Over the course of our study of the next three chapters, Paul will debunk the mythology of tongues and he’ll shed light on spiritual gifts as it relates to the shenanigans in Corinth.  The spiritual gift of tongues has ceased, but there are still people pretending to do it, who are deceiving believers in Christ who don’t have a Biblical view of what the gift of tongues was used for.  If you don’t have the truth in your soul, you are easy to deceive.  You are a sitting duck.

When we come back from the break, we’ll take the offering, and then we’ll get a verse-by-verse look at Paul’s introduction to the next section of our study.

TODAY’S BIBLE LESSON

God the Holy Spirit Gives Us Spiritual Eyes

The apostle Paul tells us what happens when we give in Philippians, Chapter 4, Verses 15 to 17…

PHILIPPIANS 4:15
You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of

giving and receiving but you alone…

PHILIPPIANS 4:16

…for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.

PHILIPPIANS 4:17

Not that I seek the gift itself…but I seek for the profit (of God’s fruit in you) which increases to your account when you give.

So if God prospers us when we give, why don’t we give more?  Why do people take the benefit of learning the Word of God, and then not give to ensure that the Word of God is spread around the world, free of charge, through Barah Ministries?  If you’re a Christian…if you’ve been saved by Christ’s work on the Cross…put your money where your mouth is…give without counting the cost.  God certainly wants you to take for yourself.  Yet God also wants you to give for the sake of others. I think people don’t give more here because at Barah Ministries we don’t pressure you to give.  We don’t guilt trip you into giving…we don’t tell you that you have to tithe… because according to the Bible you don’t have to tithe.  Here’s what the Bible recommends to you Church Age believers about giving…Second Corinthians, Chapter 9, Verses 6 to 8…

SECOND CORINTHIANS 9:6

Now I (Paul) say this…the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly…and the one who sows generously will also reap generously.

SECOND CORINTHIANS 9:7

Each one must do just as he has decided to do in his own heart…not giving reluctantly or under compulsion…for God loves a cheerful giver.

SECOND CORINTHIANS 9:8

And God is able to make all grace overflow to you…so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed (including giving)…

So, give as the Lord recommends…from WANT TO…not from HAVE TO…but give…so that profit may overflow to your account.  Give of your time, your talent, AND your treasure.  Be all in.  Let’s welcome up Deacon Denny Goodall with today’s offering message.

TODAY’S BIBLE LESSON

God the Holy Spirit Gives Us Spiritual Eyes

The theme of First Corinthians is outlined in two verses…First Corinthians, Chapter 1, Verses 10 and 11…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 1:10

Now I (Paul) exhort you fellow believers in Christ, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree…and that there be no rivalries among you…instead that you be made complete…in the same mind and in the same purpose.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 1:11

For I (Paul) have been informed concerning you, my brethren (in the church at Corinth) … by Chloe’s people…that there are rivalries among you.

As we know there were the have’s and the have not's in the church at first-century Corinth, clear evidence that even though the church was filled with believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, they were thinking and acting like the world.  They were new believers, still very much influenced by their pagan roots.  It caused Paul to say to them in First Corinthians, Chapter 3, Verses 1 to 3…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 3:1a

And so I (Paul), brethren (fellow believers in Christ), could not speak to you

(Corinthians believers) as I would speak to spiritual persons (those with the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit…believers in Christ) …

FIRST CORINTHIANS 3:1b

…but (I have to speak to you) as (if I am speaking) to men of flesh (those without the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit…unbelievers) … as if I am speaking to infants in union with Christ.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 3:2

I gave you milk to drink, not solid food…for you were not yet able to digest solid food.  Indeed, even now you are not yet able to digest solid food…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 3:3

…for you are still (acting as if you are) fleshly (you’re acting like unbelievers). For since there keeps on being jealousy and strife (persisting) among you, are you not fleshly (acting like unbelievers…being selfish) … and are you not walking (in lifestyle) like mere men (as if you are not spirit-filled persons)?

When people who are in unity…people who are believers in Christ…people who are in union with Christ accept, and in fact promote divisiveness, they don’t understand Christ, nor do they reflect Christ.  You can be a believer in Christ and not understand a single thing about your Savior.  How?  When you focus on people instead of focusing on the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.  How do you shift out of this worldly orientation?  You don’t!  God the Holy Spirit does it for you when you get enough of the Word of God under your belt.  Romans, Chapter 12, Verse 2…

ROMANS 12:2a

And do not be conformed to this world (by Satan, by his cosmic system of thought, and by the flesh resident in you)...instead, keep on being transformed by (God the Holy Spirit)...through the renewing of your mind (by studying the Word of God)...

ROMANS 12:2b

…so that you may see clearly...through the testing of experience...what the

will of God is...and the will of God is that which is good for you and that which is acceptable to Him and that which is perfect in result.

In First Corinthians, Chapters 12 to 14, the apostle Paul is answering another question that has been posed by Chloe’s people.  As in other places in this letter, Paul makes it clear he is answering a Chloe question by beginning the section with the words NOW CONCERNING.  Let’s study Paul’s introduction to this section…First Corinthians, Chapter 12, Verses 1 to 3…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:1

Now concerning the “spiritually gifted ones,” brethren (you fellow believers in Christ), I do not want you to be unaware (since you’re so smart and so knowledgeable, I don’t want you to be ignorant).

Evidently, some people in the Corinthians congregation were claiming to be more spiritual than others.  The same malady that plagues the believers at first-century Corinth plagues people today.  Scan any dating website and you'll see people write, "I'm not religious…I’m more spiritual.”
What does that mean?  It’s just what superficial people say when they don’t know what it means to be spiritual.  The apostle Paul wants to set them straight.

Some of the "spiritual elite" in the church at Corinth wanted others to know that because their spiritual gift was louder than the spiritual gift of others, the gift of tongues for example, perhaps their gift was better.  It's like a Pastor who claims to have a better spiritual gift because he stands in front of the congregation every week.  Worse, it's like a congregation member who expects something more out of a Pastor than they expect from themselves because they pretend to have a "lesser" spiritual gift than the Pastor.  In the body, it would be like the feet complaining that they are not as important as the mouth.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:2

You know that in the past…when you were pagans…you were led astray again and again to lifeless idols…in whatever way you were led away (usually by a demonic power).

For people to claim they are elite and then to be fooled into worshipping lifeless idols seems interesting.  How could those who are so smart be so dumb?  As pagans, they were ignorant, in spite of their wealth…and that same ignorance came with them when the “spiritual elite” became believers in Christ.

Many Christians want to remain ignorant about God, and they do so by using their feelings to relate to God.  They seek to make God an empirical energy force instead of recognizing Him as a Person who is above them as the Creator of the universe.  In so doing, they attempt to reduce God's supernatural power to an ecstatic experience.  Instead of moving themselves up to God's level of understanding, they attempt to dumb God down and to a humanly understandable context.

We don't study the Word of God to feel it…we study the Word of God to be filled up to a fullness by it so we can excel at dealing with Satanic power and Satanic schemes.  Feelings have no power over Satan and the world forces of this darkness.  Lifeless idols were of no assistance in times of trouble for the believers in Corinth.  Satan loves it when believers in Christ get distracted by trying to control God or to limit God's power in their lives.  When their attempts fail, the smart Christian goes running back to God.  The dumb Christian runs toward the world.

All believers in Christ are spiritual.  Romans, Chapter 8, Verse 14…

ROMANS 8:14

For all who are being led by the Holy Spirit of God…and all believers in Christ are…these are SONS OF GOD.

A spiritual person is under the control of God the Holy Spirit.  Believers in Christ are called “sons” of God because as sons we have privileges as part of the Royal Family of God.  In addition, we have responsibilities…and one of those responsibilities is to live as God would have us live rather than following the nonsense lifestyle proposed by Satan and the kingdom of darkness.

FIRST CORINTHIANS 12:3

Therefore, I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God (a spirit-filled, spiritual person) says, “Jesus is anathema” … and conversely, no one can say, “Jesus is Lord” … except by the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit.

What is anathema?

ANATHEMA

Someone cursed…detested…loathed…consigned to destruction… damned…due for divine punishment…devoted to evil.

There is no justification for describing Jesus Christ this way.

This verse, said another way, says if you’re a believer in Christ (a spirit-filled person), you’re never going to call your Lord and Savior anathema… the Holy Spirit would not inspire such an utterance of blasphemy against Jesus.  If you’re an unbeliever, you’re never going to call Christ the Lord (that He is Deity)…because to do so requires the inspiration of the filling of God the Holy Spirit.  Remember First Corinthians, Chapter 2, Verse 14?

FIRST CORINTHIANS 2:14

But a natural man (the unbeliever) does not accept the things of the (Holy) Spirit of God…for they are foolishness to him…and he cannot understand them…because they are spiritually examined.

All utterances that humans consider inspired are not from God the Holy Spirit.  Some are from the pit of hell…from Satan and his kingdom of darkness.  When someone says Jesus is Lord, however, it is definitely inspired by God the Holy Spirit.  Romans, Chapter 10, Verses 9 and 10…

ROMANS 10:9

…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord (that He is God) … and if you believe in your heart that God the Father raised Him from the dead… you will be saved…

ROMANS 10:10

…for with the heart a person believes…resulting in the imputation of absolute righteousness by God (your admission ticket to heaven) … and with the mouth a person confesses (admitting faith in Christ alone) resulting in salvation.

In John, Chapter 3, Verses 6 and 7, the Lord Jesus Christ said to the Pharisee, Nicodemus…

JOHN 3:6

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh…and that which is a born again one

of God the Holy Spirit is spiritual.”

JOHN 3:7

“Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’”

In this short introduction to First Corinthians, Chapter 12, Paul sets us up for a trip down discernment lane as we learn about another selfish mistake from the “spiritual elite” in Corinth. Their viewpoint that their spiritual gift was more special than someone else’s was completely off base.  All believers in Christ are spiritual…and with God there is no partiality.  God the Holy Spirit does a lot more for believers in Christ than helping people speak in tongues.  He powers our spiritual life.  We see God’s viewpoint when we look at things with spiritual eyes…the eyes gifted to us by God the Holy Spirit.

GOD WANTS YOU!

Make the Most Important Decision of Your Life

There is one inescapable truth that is at the very root of Christianity.  Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is God…and there is only one way to get to heaven…by placing your faith in Him and in what He has done at the Cross on your behalf.  He is the Sovereign God of the universe.  He is the most important Being in the universe.  He loves you unconditionally.  He created you, and He wants a relationship with you.  That’s good news for you!

The bad news is that you were born with a problem.  From the moment of your physical birth, God considered you a sinner.  Romans, Chapter 3, Verse 10…

 ROMANS 3:10

…it is written, “There is no creature who is righteous, not even one…”

Romans, Chapter 3, Verse 23…

ROMANS 3:23

…all creatures have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…

It’s not your fault that you’re a sinner from physical birth, but it is your circumstance. Unfortunately, being a sinner has a penalty.  Romans, Chapter 6, Verse 23…

ROMANS 6:23

For the payment earned for being a sinner is both spiritual death and physical death…

In addition to being a sinner, you commit personal sins…as a result you don’t meet God’s righteousness standards.  God requires perfection for you to get into heaven.  So being a good person, or trying to work your way into heaven with good, but imperfect deeds, does not impress God at all.

This gospel message is the good news concerning what the Lord did to fix the bad news for sinners. Jesus Christ paid a price with His blood so that you can be saved.  Responding to His gospel message is your chance to have a personal relationship with Him.  Here’s what the Lord said to a self-righteous Pharisee, Nicodemus, in John, Chapter 3, Verse 3…

JOHN 3:3

Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you are born again (the spiritual birth) you cannot see the kingdom of God the Father (in heaven).”

God the Father wants you in heaven.  Romans, Chapter 5, Verse 8 says…

ROMANS 5:8

God the Father demonstrates His own unconditional love toward all mankind…in that while we were yet sinners (while we were unrighteous, ungodly, unbelievers) … (God the Father sent the) Christ to die a sacrificial death for us.

Who is this God who saves you?  The apostle Paul describes the Lord Jesus Christ…in First Corinthians, Chapter 15, Verses 3 and 4…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 15:3

For I (Paul) delivered to you as of first importance the gospel message I also received…that it was Jesus Christ who died for our sins according to the Scriptures…

FIRST CORINTHIANS 15:4

…and that He was buried…and that He was raised from the dead on the

third day…according to the Scriptures…

Absolute righteousness is the admission ticket to heaven.  It is the key to eternal life…the resurrection life…and it is yours FREE OF CHARGE… RIGHT NOW…if you want it.  Romans, Chapter 10, Verses 9 to 11…

ROMANS 10:9

…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord (that He is God) … and if you believe in your heart that God the Father raised Him from the dead…you will be saved…

ROMANS 10:10

…for with the heart a person believes…resulting in the imputation of absolute righteousness (your admission ticket to heaven) … and with the mouth a person confesses (choosing faith in Christ alone) … resulting in salvation.

ROMANS 10:11

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will not be disappointed.”

So, heed the invitation and the warning of John, Chapter 3, Verse 36…

JOHN 3:36

“He who believes in the Son has the resurrection life right at that moment… but he who does not obey the command to believe in the Son will not see the resurrection life…instead the wrath of God (the Lake of Fire) abides on him.”

There is a hell…a very real place…and it is described this way in the Bible… Matthew, Chapter 13, Verses 41 to 43…

MATTHEW 13:41

The Son of Man (the Lord Jesus Christ) will send forth His elect angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks (unbelievers), and those who commit lawlessness (unbelievers)…

MATTHEW 13:42

…and the elect angels will throw unbelievers into the furnace of fire (the

Lake of Fire) … in that place, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

MATTHEW 13:43

Then the righteous (believers in Christ) will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father…

For those without a relationship with Christ, He’ll just ask them to step to the left and to take the “HELLIVATOR” … just press down.

Getting to heaven is easy… Acts, Chapter 16, Verse 31…

ACTS 16:31

“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and everyone in your household who also believes.”

Sinners need a Savior.  That Savior is the Lord Jesus Christ.  Believe in Him and you will be saved!

SONG INTRODUCTION

In John, Chapter 4, Verses 7 to 10, the Lord Jesus Christ meets a Samaritan woman…

JOHN 4:7

There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”

JOHN 4:8

For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

JOHN 4:9

Therefore, the Samaritan woman said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)

JOHN 4:10

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God the Father, and if you knew who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

After telling her all about her life, and after evangelizing to her, the woman marveled at Jesus’ wisdom, and she ran home to tell her friends about the experience…John, Chapter 4, Verse 29…

JOHN 4:29

“Come see a man who told me all the things that I have done…this is not the Christ (the Messiah), is it?”

Let’s close with music as we hear four of the most powerful words ever written in song…HIS NAME IS JESUS.  Here’s June Murphy to sing COME SEE A MAN…
