Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;//do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.//Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus…

Remember to give with the motivation suggested in

Scripture
2CO 9:7
Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful (grace oriented) giver.

TODAY’S STUDY
Unconditional Love is a Different Voice

MAT 18:1-2
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”//And He (the Lord Jesus Christ) called a child to Himself and set him (the child) before them…

MAT 18:3-4
…and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.//Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

MAT 18:5-6
“And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me;//but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around hisneck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”

1CO 13:13
But now faith, hope, love, abide (in the sphere of) these three; but the greatest of these is (unconditional) love.

PRO 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.//In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

JOH 1:17
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through (the Lord) Jesus Christ.

BREAK
When I Think About Home

MAT 26:6-7
Now when Jesus was in Bethany, at the home of Simon the leper,//a woman came to Him with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume, and she poured it on His head as He reclined at the table.

MAT 26:8-9
But the disciples were indignant when they saw this, and said, “Why this waste?//For this perfume might have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.”

MAT 26:10-11
But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you bother the woman? For she has done a good deed to Me.//For you always have the poor with you; but you do not always have Me.”

MAT 26:12-13
“For when she poured this perfume on My body, she did it to prepare Me for burial.//Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of in memory of her.”

JAM 2:20
But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?

QUESTION FOR REFLECTION
“What it is like to be on the other side of me?”

ROM 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?//May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

ROM 6:11
Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

2CO 13:5
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves!
