2TI 3:16-17

All Scripture is inspired by God (theoneustos…God breathed) and (is) profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training (instruction) in righteousness;//so that the man of God may be adequate(mature), equipped (thoroughly furnished) for every good work.

 

 

 

EPH 6:11

(Pick up and) Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes (tactics) of the devil.

 

EPH 6:12

For our struggle is not against flesh (sin natures) and blood (the souls of human beings), but (our struggle is) against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

 

EPH 6:13

Therefore (because there is a Creator vs. Creature Conflict), take up (pick up and put on) the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm (against the tactics of Satan).

 

EPH 6:14 

Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH (the) TRUTH (of the Word of God), and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF (absolute) RIGHTEOUSNESS (+R)…

 

EPH 6:15 

…and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE (combat boots of) PREPARATION (to disseminate) THE GOSPEL OF PEACE (the Lord Jesus Christ’s reconciliation offer through evangelism and witnessing)…

 

EPH 6:16 

…in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith (in God) with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

 

EPH 6:17 

And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the (use of the) sword of (God) the (Holy) Spirit, which is the Word of God (alive, powerful, piercing).

 

EPH 6:18 

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the (enabling power of the) Spirit (en Pneumati), and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints…

 

EPH 6:19 

…and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the (dispensation of the) mystery (and) of the gospel…

 

EPH 6:20 

…for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it (the gospel) I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

 

ROM 12:1

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

 

ROM 12:2 

And do not be conformed to this world, but (keep on) be(ing) transformed by (God in) the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

 

1PE 5:1

Therefore, I (Paul) exhort the elders (Pastors) among you, as your fellow elder (Pastor) and (as your fellow) witness of the sufferings of Christ, and (as) a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed (in the future)…

 

1PE 5:2 

…(you Pastors are to keep on) shepherd(ing…feeding them with the Word of God) the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness…

 

1PE 5:3 

…nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock.

 

1PE 5:4 

And when the Chief Shepherd (the Lord Jesus Christ) appears, you (Pastors) will receive the unfading crown of glory.

 

1PE 5:5 

You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders (Pastors…an authority relationship); and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

 

1PE 5:6 

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time…

 

1PE 5:7 

…casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

 

1PE 5:8 

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

 

1PE 5:9 

But resist him (the devil), (standing) firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren (other believers in Christ) who are in the world.

 

1PE 5:10 

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in (union with) Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

 

1PE 5:11 

To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
