…whom He (God the Father) poured out upon us richly through (the Lord) Jesus Christ our Savior,//so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of (the) eternal life (the zoe life).
TODAY’S STUDY
Unconditional Love Illuminates in the Darkness
In the beginning was the Word (God the Son), and the Word was with God (the Father), and the Word (God the Son) was God (the same in essence as God the Father).
He (God the Son) was (existed) in the beginning (and lived in unity) with God (the Father).
All things came into being through (the agency of) Him (God the Son), and apart from Him (God the Son) nothing came into being that has come into being.
In Him (God the Son) was (the zoe) life (the resurrection life), and the (zoe) life was the Light of men.
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
“For God (the Father) so (much and unconditionally) loved the world, that He gave His only begotten (uniquely born) Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), that who(so)ever believes in Him shall not perish, but have (the)
eternal life (the zoe life).”
To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare with Him?
As for the idol, a craftsman casts it, a goldsmith plates it with gold, and a silversmith fashions chains of silver.
He who is too impoverished for such an offering selects a tree that does not rot; he seeks out for himself a skillful craftsman to prepare an idol that will not totter.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
It is He (the Lord Jesus Christ) who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers (in His sight), who stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
He it is who reduces rulers to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.
Scarcely have they (rulers) been planted, scarcely have they been sown, scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, but He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the storm carries them away like stubble.
“To whom then will you liken Me (the Lord Jesus Christ) that I would be his equal?” says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one of them is missing.
Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and the justice due me escapes the notice of my God?”
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power.
Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly…
…yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
But now faith, hope, love, abide (in the sphere of) these three; but the greatest of these is (unconditional) love.

“He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My (the Lord Jesus Christ’s) sake will find it.”
“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate (love less than Me) his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.”
“Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.”
