Welcome To BARAH MINISTRIES

a Christian Church

All Scripture is inspired by God (theoneustos) and (it is) profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;//so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

…have (you) forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, “MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM…”

“…FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES (He trains you in a character pattern), AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?

For they (our earthly fathers) disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He (the Lord) disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.

All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness

TODAY’S STUDY

Romans 1 - What is a ministry?

Romans, Chapter 1, Verses 8 to 15
Paul’s Prayer for the Purpose of his Ministry

First, I, Paul, thank God the Father in prayer through Jesus Christ’s name for all you believers in Rome, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world, all throughout the
Roman Empire.

MINISTRY
A calling, given to you by God, and centered in service to the Lord Jesus Christ, in which you use your spiritual gift as you choose in service to others

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,//yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach…

…if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

Now I (Paul) rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions.

Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God…

…that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints…

…to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in(dwelling) you, the hope of glory.

Do you not know that you are a temple of God (the Father) and that the (Holy) Spirit of God dwells in you?

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as (if I were speaking) to spiritual men (the mature), but (I must speak to you) as (if I were speaking) to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ (the immature).

I gave you (infants) milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it (solid food). Indeed, even now you are not yet able…

…for you are still fleshly (immature). For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?

For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men (immature)?

What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one.

I (Paul) planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.

So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God (is the One) who causes the growth.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it.

For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

CLOSING SONG
What Can Separate You

For I am confident of this very thing, that He (God the Father) who began a (divine) good work in (the creation of) you will (keep on) perfect(ing) it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers.//For they will wither quickly like the grass And fade like the green herb

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard (garrison) your hearts and your minds (for those of you) in (union with) Christ Jesus.
