BARAH MINISTRIES a Christian Church
You are the One New Man
Then the Lord God (Jesus Christ in His pre-incarnate Person) took the man (Adam) and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it.
The Lord God (Jesus Christ in His pre-incarnate Person) commanded the man (Adam), saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely…”
“…but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it (dying spiritually) you will surely die (physically).”
…in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit…
…and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind…
…and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
How shall we who died to (the sovereignty of the) sin (nature) still live in it?
When I Think About Home
For He Himself (the Lord Jesus Christ) is our peace, who made both groups (Jews and Gentiles) into one (group) and (who) broke down the barrier of the dividing wall…
…by abolishing in His flesh (His true humanity) the enmity, which is the (Mosaic) Law (an enmity) of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He (the Lord Jesus Christ) might make the two into ONE NEW MAN, thus establishing peace…
…and (that He…the Lord Jesus Christ) might reconcile them both (the two groups) in one body to God (the Father) through the Cross, by it (death on a Cross) having put to death the enmity.
AND HE (the Lord Jesus Christ) CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND (the Lord Jesus Christ preached) PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR…
…for through Him He (the Lord Jesus Christ) we both (Jews and Gentiles) have our (direct) access (to God) in one Spirit to (God) the Father.
ONE NEW MAN
Therefore if (1) anyone is in (union with) Christ (an all believers are), he is a new creature (kainee ktsis); the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
ONE NEW MAN
This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He (God the Father) carried out in (union with) Christ Jesus our Lord,//in whom we (believers in Christ) have boldness and confident (direct) access through (our) faith in Him.
For it was the (God the) Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him (the Lord Jesus Christ),//and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Even so (believers in Christ) consider yourselves to be dead to (the sovereignty of the) sin (nature), but alive to God in (union with) Christ Jesus.
Therefore do not let (the) sin (nature) reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts…
…and do not go on presenting the members of your body to (the) sin (nature) as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as (if you are one of) those alive from the dead, and (present) your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
For (the) sin (nature) shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…
…gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
